Ideally, this person(s) wants to build a reputation and is seeking opportunities on bigger projects to do within a friendly, well-balanced team of similar personalities.

This position is suited to an experienced, mid to senior level person with a proven track record, who wants to learn and also has much to teach, as we highly value constantly improving our processes and methodologies.

The specifics for Senior Web Developers

Are you someone who can take the lead on strategic projects, as well as to mentor junior and mid-level PHP developers? Can you assist in the ongoing design of our processes so we can improve our service delivery and manage deadlines?

We have a varied client pool and that means challenges frequently arise, and we often have to think laterally to get things done.

We have small to very big projects happening all the time, so no two days are alike – this opportunity will suit someone who thrives on variety, a broad exposure to a range of technologies as well as the opportunity to design, create and develop unique solutions to newly evolving business models.

We have some joint-venture projects that we want to expand, which means there is also the opportunity for ‘side projects’ with the potential for sharing in the upside value. These projects are fairly mature and the revenue-share potential is a reality.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in what they do and truly wants to demonstrate mastery, exercise autonomy and have a purpose in what they do each day.

This job requires you to have extensive (we mean it), experience with :

      – we use Trello & agile methodology

Remuneration

We will pay ‘above-market-related’ salaries for experienced Senior Web Developers, and incentives are also offered for individual performance and excellence.

Working Hours

We offer flexi-time, with core hours for ‘in office’ being from 10:00 to 16:00. We allocate 1 hour per day to cover office admin, meetings and email (i.e. non-billable work), with 1 hour for lunch and then the expectation is that we account for 7 billable* hours each day, i.e. the time at the office is 9 hours per day.

*This billable work is always pre-planned with the project managers too, so the developer is not required to directly source billable work.

Location

We are based in Milnerton, on Koeberg Road, near public transport for those who prefer it and near a shopping center for those have a love for ‘Vida e’ coffee. Safe, free parking is available nearby too.

Please submit your CV with references and cover letter to lee@semantica.co.za with subject line preceded by “Senior Web Developer”.

If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
