Digital Project Manager

Semantica Digital is a leading digital agency specialising in WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify solutions for ambitious businesses. We’re looking for a highly organised and client-focused Digital Project Manager to oversee web and e-commerce projects from concept through to delivery.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for managing multiple client projects in a fast-paced agency environment, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on structure, communication, and accountability, while also having the technical know-how to understand the complexities of digital builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage digital projects across WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify platforms.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and trust throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop project scopes, timelines, and resource plans.

• Produce accurate cost estimates and manage budgets effectively.

• Coordinate internal teams (design, development, marketing) to ensure smooth delivery.

• Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues.

• Conduct post-project reviews to ensure continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years digital project management experience.

• Proven experience in digital project management within an agency or e-commerce environment.

• Solid technical knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify.

• Advanced experience with Trello, Harvest (or similar)
• Strong understanding of web development processes, integrations, and deployment.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Experience with budget management, scoping, and estimation.

• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Resilient under pressure, able to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.

• Own transport (with flexibility to conduct client meetings in and around Cape Town)

Remuneration

The salary for this position is market related. Options are available for commission & benefits once ability is proven.
